Household Dangers: A Funny Ouch!

I’ve always loved baking, but I tend to use every utensil and bowl in the kitchen, so doing the dishes is NOT my favorite thing.
Yesterday post yoga, after making three kinds of cookie dough (chocolate chip, pecan meltaways and cinnamon sugar) to freeze for holiday baking, I’m washing dishes when OWWWW… I cut my thumb and forefinger on broken glass.
Thankfully Niles is home waking up decadently at 3:00 PM on a Sunday. He doesn’t like how deep the cuts look and insists on taking me to the ER– just to be safe.
Anthony triages me super fast and gets me into Fast Track, where Dr. Adam just happens to be on duty. Adam is especially cute in doctor-mode (I’m now sensing why he has so many stalker patients — even Niles thinks he’s HOT!). He’s very gentle when he cleans out all the broken glass. I barely feel it when he gives me a tetanus shot. It seems like he’s holding my hand for maybe longer than necessary as he wraps it gently with gauze (wish, wish).
Then before I leave, I ask if he has any special instructions and he says with a wink—
If I were you, I’d avoid washing dishes.
Y E S !!!
I’m pretty sure I’ll be taking him some cookies. STAT!
(btw…Niles is typing this so I can get it in for #findthefunny Monday. He’s insists on me saying how hot and awesome he is too— ahaha!)

Oh my ouchy goodness……that sucks worse than a burn….maybe! ohhhh! it’s killingme to think about it….feel better…and i just made cookies and now i can talk again…we just got a bigger screen…love ya babe!:)

Dude. I might have to find a way to make doing the dishes end violently so that I can get out of doing them. Thanks for the tip, and I also hope you’re not in too much pain 😉
